How Personal AI is Scaling Human Potential

Jonathan Bikoff, Head of Partnerships & Go-to-Market, Personal AI

Collaboration is at the heart of the startup Personal AI, a platform for creating AI personas for professional or personal use. Its founder, Suman Kanuganti, was inspired to create an AI persona that could serve as a partner, after the formative relationship he had with his late mentor, Larry Bock. He realized how impactful it is to have a strategic resource and was inspired to look at ways AI could help serve as a smart and efficient collaborator – whether at home or at work.

Through the Personal AI app, users can design their own AI by setting a name, tone of voice, job role, and giving it access to relevant digital tools and data. Businesses, including Amer Sports, Qualcomm, Novus Global and Indiana University, are leveraging Personal AI to enhance productivity and manage routine tasks efficiently.

Jonathan Bikoff, Head of Partnerships and Go-to-Market at Personal AI, utilizes his AI persona to recall key information, assist with writing tasks, and enhance communication with his team.

Clients also deploy Personal AI personas for a variety of specialized tasks. A pharmaceutical company, for example, might create an AI research analyst to generate reports on recent medical studies, while a retail chain could use an AI persona to help manage customer inquiries. Similarly, an executive may design a persona to help better email management and scheduling.

Personal AI aims to empower professionals by automating time-consuming tasks, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives and decision-making. Personal AI can help with communication skills, memory, and contextual awareness to solve problems collaboratively.

“The future of work will likely include AI-powered agents that amplify human capabilities. Everything we’re doing at Personal AI is to help realize that human-machine collaboration.”

Democratizing AI Personas to Transform the Future of Work

Personal AI participated in the artificial intelligence accelerator program through Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs. During the five-week accelerator, Personal AI engaged with teams within Comcast , explored collaborative AI use cases, and fast-tracked proof-of-concept partnerships.

“Achieving our mission independently would be like climbing Mount Everest without equipment on our tippy toes,” said Bikoff. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with the LIFT Labs team and build relationships with leaders at Comcast.”.

“We work in highly regulated industries.,” said Bikoff. “Our models have to be accurate, trustworthy, and private.”

Another important issue for company leadership is data security and privacy. Each AI persona is trained only on the data its user provides and remains fully owned by the business creating it.

As Personal AI continues to grow and innovate, they’re pursuing partnerships with major enterprises to expand their reach. Ultimately, Personal AI’s goal is to become the leading platform for AI persona generation.

“We envision Personal AI as a platform that is widely adopted by people in many different companies and many different industries,” said Bikoff.
