Startups Can Now Pitch Comcast NBCUniversal, Get Feedback & Advice in a Life-Sized Elevator

Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs’ popular Pitch Elevator – which debuted at SXSW 2018 –  is hitting the road and may show up at a tech event near you.

With the push of a button, the Pitch Elevator doors open and founders step inside.

They are greeted by an on-screen duo of storytelling experts, including entrepreneur, investor and television star Kevin O’Leary – Shark Tank’s Mr. Wonderful. They offer a few key tips on how to record a standout 90-second pitch – better known as your elevator pitch – and the countdown begins.

Three, two, one… go!

The LIFT Labs Pitch Elevator gives founders an opportunity to practice their pitches and create video content they can use to amplify their own startup stories. Participants also have a chance to sign up for pitch coach sessions and receive live feedback from Comcast NBCUniversal startup experts before they record.

“It’s really like you’re talking to an audience so if you have a bit of stage fright, it’s an opportunity for you to work some of that out. It’s really valuable,” said Matthew Rose, co-founder and CEO of SAAVHA, who recorded his pitch at SXSW 2018.

The Pitch Elevator will travel to tech events in Miami, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles in 2018, meeting entrepreneurs where they are. In addition to receiving valuable pitch advice and access to their video content, founders get targeted exposure at Comcast NBCUniversal – all videos are reviewed by the LIFT Labs team and select business leaders across the company who are looking for startup partners.
